Nynäshamn – Visby

The most important ferry to Gotland

The Nynäshamn–Visby route connects the Swedish mainland south of Stockholm with the medieval capital of the Baltic island of Gotland – in just over three hours. This makes it the most important and busiest ferry connection to Sweden's largest island and the first choice for all those traveling from the greater Stockholm area.

The route is operated year-round by Destination Gotland with the modern LNG ferries M/S Visby, M/S Gotland and M/S Drotten. On board, you can expect restaurants, a ship's store, a cinema and a dedicated children's play area – so the three hours fly by. Whether by car, motorhome or as a foot passenger: Nynäshamn–Visby is the gateway to Gotland's UNESCO World Heritage site, dreamlike beaches and Swedish summer idyll.
